The Acre of Land on Mill Common will not provide the necessary amount of water for the barracks, therefore another piece of land on the Horse Common known as "King's Close" has been selected by the Lieutenancy Committee
11 - Letter GF Maule, Clerk to the Lieutenancy to SE Cooch, Mayor of Huntingdon. As objections have been raised by the Freemen against the sale of the piece of land agreed upon (see 2892/HQZ/10), the lieutenancy committee have decided to abandon the intention of purchasing a piece of common land
12a - Letter M Hunnybun to SF Cooch, details of a letter sent to Mr Hawksley of London inquiring whether his report on the Huntingdon Gasworks is not yet completed
12b - Notice of a meeting of the Commissioners of the Pavement for Huntingdon to be held on 14 June to consider the contract entered into by the late Mr Malam and the commissioners for lighting the town with gas and other general business

15a - Letter: CS Windover to the Waterworks Committee. The work to [lay?] water into Windover's factory in case of fire and to provide waterclosets has been completed and he requests permission to connect the same with the mains
15b - Copies of three letters from Edward Maule, Town Clerk to CS Windover re. The connection of Windovers factory with the main water supply and questioning the decrease in the factory's consumption of water between 1877 and 1879 (from over 12,000 gallons to 300 gallons)
