A Brick and Tile barn lately converted into a stable and a brick and tile building being a chaisehouse, situated in St Benedicts parish, Huntingdon within a yard belonging to John Strangward. A piece of ground being the corner of the garden of the said yard belonging to the said John Adams and situated next to the "necessary house" with the use of the pump within the said yard and with access from the yard to the High Street. The above property already in the occupation of (2) consideration: 5s. 27 - Bargain and Sale 1. Sir John Arundel of Huntingdon, Knight 2. The said Sir John Arundel, Samuel Edward Couch, Mayor of Huntingdon, The Reverend John Fell, David Veasey the younger, John Sweeting esq all of Huntingdon. Two closes of inclosed pasture ground called Cancroft Closes lying in Hail Weston with 9a of meadow lying in Cancroft Meadow. One close of pasture (5a) lying in Colne and called Brackhill Close. One Close of pasture lying in St John's parish, Huntingdon, late Lamb's Garden. All other premises recited beforehand in the deed, consideration: 5s. The above properties are conveyed to (2) as the newly-appointed Trustees of Sayer's charity. The deed contains a lengthy recital of the deeds relating to the charity, including the original conveyance of the above property by George Sayer to the town of Huntingdon, 1737. Also a letter from David Veasey, Castle Hill House, Huntingdon to Mr Burton re. the examination of the accounts of Sayer's Cahrity was found inside the deed dated 1 dec 1869. Messuage or dwelling house wherein (2) now lives, together with the school outhouses, yards, gardens and other premises situated in Huntingdon and being part of the possessions of the said hospital and usually occupied by the Master of the said Grammar School. Messuage and bakers shop lying in Enfield Highway with the wooden stable in the yard at the rear and also the garden, meadow and cow house on the opposite side of the road together with the use of the pump, well, and cistern in the said yard in common with other lessors and use of ootpaths, passages etc. Plan of property attached.
