Thomas Brittain awarded the scout silver medal and Royal Humane Society's Parchment for saving life of his sister Joan (aged 4) by the Earl of Sandwich (Lord Lieutenant of Huntingdonshire) on July 2nd, 1926. Those present included: ambulance division - Superintendent Dr. L.C. Burrell, secretary Mr John T.C. Rogers and Corp. H. Boyal. Others present included Mrs Burrell, Mrs Abbott, Mr Dixon, Mr and Mrs Mould, the Rev and Mrs Gregoire, Mr Longfoot, Mr LC and Mr E Gilbert, Mr and Mrs A Mason, Mrs W Chambers, Mr and Mrs Kingston, Miss MJ Smith, Mrs C Fenn (Nassington), Mrs Cragg, Mrs Brittain, Mr Butterworth and the little girl who was saved.
