59-60 - A. W. Stearn, 3 and 4 Corn Exchange Street, Cambridge, providing a quotation for a brass plate [to be attached to picture] with various lettering options. Also a copy of the text to be engraved on the plate.
61 - Lady Linlithgow, 29 Chesham Place, London, requesting Varrier-Jones visit to discuss a chairmanship and apologising that she will not attend Papworth's annual day due to the recent death of her father [Sir Frederick Milner].
62 - Copy letter to John Bolding and Sons Ltd., Grosvenor Works, Davies Street, London, with thanks for illustrations of specimen bathrooms and enclosing a plan of the room to be converted so that more detailed schemes can be created.
63 - Copy letter to Lance Calkin, London, from private secretary to check that he had been notified of the train to catch to arrive in Cambridge, and that a car will be there to bring him to Papworth.
64 - Copy letter to the Marine Superintendent, L.M.S. Railway Co., Holyhead, from private secretary requesting that a state-room is reserved on the night-boat from Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire for Varrier-Jones, and that two first class tickets are also reserved for the return journey by day-boat.
65 - Copy letter to the Manager, Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin from private secretary requesting that a single bedroom be reserved for Varrier-Jones.
66 - Sir H. D. Rolleston, in sympathy at the death of his mother and noting that 'he has put up a monument longer-lived than brass' in creating Papworth.
67-68 - Copy letter to O.N. Martin, Harleston, seeking to clarify from which institutions he receives expenses, and from which he has salaries.
69 - Copy letter to [William] Milner discussing the arrival of a lorry with 'stags heads, pictures and furniture', considering where items should be placed. Also noting with pleasure that Lady Linlithgow had consented to be chairman of a dinner to be held in London and also considering the likelihood of the Queen opening the new hospital. Emphasising that without his sister's continuing support they would be 'quite lost'.
70 - Copy letter to Lady Linlithgow, in gratitude that she will be chairman of a dinner in aid of Papworth; also consideration of Major Astor 'of The Times' to 'take Sir Frederick's place' [as chairman of the Settlement], and asking best time to approach the Queen about opening the new hospital at Papworth. Also with thanks for furniture, pictures and stag heads sent from Taplow Lodge by her brother [see /69].
71 - J. G. Penwill, Secretary, College of Arms, London, enquiring if Varrier-Jones wishes to proceed with the application for armorial bearings, as a formal application was sent for signature on the 30 June, and has not been returned.
72-73 - Lady Linlithgow, Hopetoun House, South Queensferry, [Linlithgows.], in pleasure at the progress at Papworth. Also suggesting Lord Athlone for chairman and advising delay until December to ask the Queen to open the hospital at Papworth, with copy reply approving her suggestion of Lord Athlone and leaving the matter in her hands. Also asking her to contact the Queen about opening the women's hospital, as her father used to arrange the royal visits.
74 - William Milner, Parcevall Hall, Appletreewick, Yorks., accepting the invitation to become a Vice-President of Papworth and giving Varrier-Jones permission to do as he sees best with the stag heads etc.

81 - '[T.S. Weston] ('Tubby'), Chiswick House, Eastbourne, to 'Jonah' regarding a patient 'Newmarch' who has had a relapse, querying whether Papworth would accept him as a patient.
82-84 - Correspondence with T. S. Vevers Ltd, 4 York Road, Maidenhead, Berks., about non-arrival of picture of the late Sir Frederick Milner's, despatched by goods train.
85 - Lance Calkin, South Kensington, enclosing three cards of admission for the 'R.O.I'. Also discussing his pleasure that the king signed a photograph of a portrait by Lance Calkin, and that Varrier-Jones is still enjoying his mother's portrait. Also hoping that he will have time for a sitting soon.
86 - D. MacCallum, Medical Officer, Enham Village Centre, Andover, Hants, informing Varrier-Jones of his marriage and fatherhood, apologising for not telling him sooner, but explaining that he had not wanted this fact to interfere with Varrier-Jones' plans for Enham.
87 - R. S. Whipple, Highgate, discussing the problems of setting up a local broadcasting station at Papworth, but noting that it may be possible to connect a microphone to the central colony switchboard, and use the telephone wires instead.
88 - Copy letter to the Secretary, Metropolitan Railway, Baker Street Station, London, voicing opposition to the London Passenger Transport Bill.
89 - Robert E. Wodehouse, Canadian Tuberculosis Association, Plaza Building, Cor. Rideau and Sussex Streets, Ottawa, congratulating Varrier-Jones on his knighthood.
90 - Copy letter to Lance Calkin, London, putting off visit until the New Year. Requesting that he lets his chauffeur have 'the picture' so that Varrier-Jones can show it to 'his people' at Hereford.
91 - Copy letter to [?] with thanks for congratulations upon the honour just conferred upon [Varrier-Jones], noting at how overwhelmed by the kindness of his friends he has been.
92 - Page of typed 'personal particulars' of Varrier-Jones, perhaps as submitted for Kelly's Handbook [see /41]
