DescriptionThis photograph was printed in the Hunts Post of the 2nd February 1931, of the British Legion Billiard Champions. All the members of the team are named, but the microfilm is of poor quality and some names are difficult to read. The front row - Mr Kidd (captain) is seated above the trophy, with Mr Coxon on his right and Mr F Crawley on his left. Mr E[...]d on the extreme left of the row, with Mr F Abbott on the extreme right. The top row from left to right - Mr SA Holliday, Hon Treasurer of the branch, Mr FW S[...], assistant secretary, the Reverend CV.Burder, Vice Chair (Vicar of St Mary's, Huntingdon), the Mayor Councillor JH Howgate, Captain Rivett-Carter (Hemingford[?] branch) and Mr C Griffith, Hon Secretary.

Behind the group is a board recording matches in "The Burroughes & Watts" Billiard and Snooker competitions. Burroughes & Watts became one of the most famous of the English billiard table manufacturers. The firm was founded in 1836 by William Burroughes in partnership with F. Watts.
