The Hunts Post for 28 July 1906 records that the first water polo match of the season was played by the Huntingdon Club between the bridges [possibly between the iron bridge at Portholme and the railway bridge]. Their opponents were the St Ives team, who won the match by 5 goals to nil, and who were by far the best team. |
