DescriptionView of Westwood Road, with Church Street leading off to the left. The building on the right, Westwood Farm, has now been demolished, but the cottages `in the middle of the image still stand. According to Bob Burn- Murdoch's book "The Changing Face of St Ives", Samuel Jackson Pratt (1749-1814) was born in one of these cottages. He was the son of a St Ives brewer, and he was a popular poet and author in his day and wrote under the pseudonym of Courtney Melmoth.
