DescriptionThe marriageof Mr D Bryant and Miss EM Johnson which took place in St Ives. The Hunts Post of the 19th August 1926 carries a detailed report of the wedding, which "excited very deep interest, and called forth the warmest congratulations". This photograph was printed in the paper. Douglas Bryant was the younger son of Mr & Mrs John Bryant of The Close, Needingworth Road, and Edith Maria Johnson was the third daughter of Mr John Johnson, JP, and Mrs Johnson of Westwood, St Ives. They were married in the Free Church, St Ives, and the reception was held at the bride's home. This image, and WH2/143 & 162, were originally listed incorrectly as the wedding of Kenneth Wheeler and Ella Bryant, who married in the Huntingdon Registration District in 1925
