DescriptionThe wedding of James How and Lizzie Francis which took place in Ellington on the 6 March 1895. The groom was from Broughton, and was an auctioneer, while the bride was the daughter of Jacob Francis, timber merchant, who can be seen sitting on the extreme left of the group. The family lived in Oakleigh House in Ellington, which is now Hill House Residential Home. The timber merchant business of Jacob Francis was at the railway station in Huntingdon, and he also farmed land around the village of Ellington.
