DescriptionRear view of Mr Geldart's house, Hemingford, taken from the garden. One figure (male) is in view to the left of the large mature trees. A Henry Charles Geldart lived at Walden House in Huntingdon from the 1890s until his death in 1912 but he had been born in Hemingford Grey in 1840 while his father, the Reverend James William Geldart, Regius Professor of Civil Law at Cambridge University, was officiating minister in the parish of Hemingford Grey. H. C. Geldart was a banker with the firm of Veasey, Desborough and Co. of Huntingdon, and was prominent in local affairs in the borough.
