The Gimber refered to is Thomas Gimber who does not appear in the deeds. One of these extracys is made on the dorse of an order from John Conyers and James Torkington, J.P.s 13 October 1702 for the tythes due to Reverend John Smith, clerk, Brampton, to be paid before 24th October, by William Smith £5, William Newberry £2.10, Thomas Nunwick 14/-.
