TitleManor of Great Stukeley, list of The orders which I hold fitting to be agreed on by Thomas Torkington.
DescriptionContaining regulations concerning number of stock on common with distinctions between cottagers and husbandman, and concerning the admission of foreigners. Attached is a long address signed by Thomas Torkington, presumably to be read to the tenants at the Court for their edification. He speaks of the microcosmos of every town, perverse beings of malignant disposition, danger of too many cottages on common induces poverty in the town so that her vexations do much disturb the tranquility of the neighbourhood.
