Description(Marriage Settlement). Reciting that the intended marriage between John Green of Bugden, Esq; and Sarah Dixon, daughter of John Dixon of Ramsey, gent. Dixon to Rev. Robert Dowbiggin of Stoke Goldington, Bucks, clerk, and William Wright the younger of Warboys, malster, 4 Bill Lots (3 acres 3 roods each) 2 Longbeach Lots (3 acres each) and 10 Loadsend Lots (8 acres each) in Ramsey. (To hold to the use of Green and his wife during their lives and then to the use of their heirs of the marriage.) Dixon also covenants to surrender the use of his daughter, His copyhold messuage called Cuckolds Haven, adjoining the Bill Lots, and his copyhold separate Fishery in the River Nene extending from the Fordway over the River Nene near a house or place called the Stump or Fishgarth near a house called Uggmeer Cote, together with the Tollgate and Bridge over the river. Dixon also covenants to Green after the marriage the sum of £300 as to his daughter's portion.
