DescriptionHenry Gray, Rev. William Peacock of Brampton (only son and heir of William Peacock John Julian the yourger, yeoman of Bury, Thomas Burges the elder, gentleman of Benwick, Isle of Ely, Abraham Staffurth, farmer of Bury and Jacob Hunt, gentleman of Huntingdon. The mortgage with interest is £1575. The purchase sums from the below-written sales is partly used to discharge the mortgage, in payment to Henry Gray. (1) Purchase of John Julian £1,200 15 acres of arable land in New Field Holt 2 roods in Graines Croft. with certain copyhold lands and hereditaments in Bury. (2) Purchase by Abraham Staffurth £420 2 parcels in Bury Lug Fen (20 acres, abutting on Willow Row Drain to the W, the lands late of John Ellington but now of William Wight to the S, Cross Drove to the E, and the lands of John Mead and Cox's to the N. 11 acres 1 rood in Bury Lug Fen, John Campion's land to the W, Long Drove to the S, Mrs Sibleys to the E, and the drain from Ramsey to Bury to the N. (3) Purchase by Thomas Burges. £195 11 acres in Bury Lug Fen, commonly called Jack's corner, Poulters land or Willow Drove to the N, Jacks Corner Drove to the W, Richard Lovells land to the S, and Mrs. Tapstots land to the E. The residue of the mortgage is assigned to Jacob Miut, in trust for the various owners.
