Title | On 8th May 1663 the inhabitants of Soham made a highway rate of 6d in the pound, and the then surveyors, Nathaniel Sterne, Mark Crouther, John Raby senior, William Goborowe junior and Robert Edward, collected only part of it, whereby money is still due to them: the present surveyors, John Peachy, William Galley senior, John Wilkin, Edward Tayler, John Michell and Edward Brand, are to collect the rest of the money; after that they are all to produce their accounts to two JPs who are to calculate what money is due, and the present surveyors are to pay it to the late surveyors. |
