DescriptionTitle: The North Level Act 1857. 1. North Level Drainage. Proposed enlargement of the North Level Main Drain and a new cut with sluices into the River Nene. 2. Widening and deepening of north level drain from the sluice at Clows Cross, in the parish of Sutton St Mary, in the county Lincolnshire, to the North Level Sea Sluice in the parish of Tydd St Mary, and to make and maintain a new outfall in connection with a new cut or drain and to reconstruct the sluices at Clows Cross. In the parishes of Leverington, county Cambridgeshire. Sutton St Edmunds and St Mary, Tydd St Mary all in county Lincolnshire. Newton and Tydd St Giles, both county Cambridgeshire. Comprising Plans and sections: Horizontal 4 chains (88 yards) to 1 inch. Vertical 4 feet to 1 inch. Engineer G. Robert Stephenson, Act 20-1 Victoria ch. cix (1857)
