DescriptionSchemes for improving water supply of Cambridge and adjoining parishes of Chesterton, Trumpington, Grantchester, Coton, Madingley and Impington, by taking water from the River Cam near the bathing place to a low level reservoir and filtration plant near Newnham Mill and a high level reservoir on Madingley Hill. Passing through the following parishes: St Botolph, St Mary the Less and St Giles, all in Cambridge, Coton and Madingley, all in county Cambridgeshire. Comprising: Plans and sections 6 sheets, each 22" x 30" (2 copies). Book of reference [missing]. Printed summary of bill. Printed copy of standing orders of House of Lords as to the deposit of documents...relating to Private Bills. Scale: Plans and sections: Horizontal 6 chains (132 yards) to 1 inch. Vertical 30 feet to 1 inch. Engineer James G. Lynde, Junior. NB. The above scheme was abandoned, see 'The Water Supply of Cambridge' by Tressilian C. Nicholas.
