Description1. Scheme to lay a pipe from Nine Wells, Great Shelford, to carry water to Hobson's Conduit, Cambridge. 2. Scheme to take water from the Paper Mills Stream, near where the Newmarket to Cambridge road crosses the railway, and to be taken to a low level reservoir beside the river at Coe Fen, and after filtration pumped to a high-level reservoir on Madingley Hill. The scheme to be carried out as follows: 1. A pipe to be constructed from Nine Wells, Great Shelford, through the parish of Trumpington to Hobson's Conduit at the junction of Trumpington Street/Lensfield Road/Trumpington Road, Cambridge. 2. A pipe leading from the Paper Mills Stream, near the railway bridge, along George Street, Sun Street, Brunswick Place (now all called Newmarket Road), Jesus Lane, Bridge Street, St Johns Street, Trinity Street, Kings Parade, Trumpington Street, Mill Lane, to Coe Fen. 3. A branch leaving number 2 at corner of Bridge Street, and St John's Street, and passing along the northern part of Bridge Street, Magdalene Street, Northampton Street, Madingley Road, and passing along the road to Madingley Hill to a proposed reservoir in Coton. 4. Branch to leave number 3 at junction of Chesterton Road/Northampton Street/ Magdalene Street/Castle Hill, and passing along Chesterton Road, terminating at the Pound in Chesterton village. Passing through the following parishes: 1. Great Shelford, Trumpington, St Andrew the Less, Cambridgeshire. 2. St Andrew the Less, Holy Trinity, All Saints, St Sepulchre, St Michael, St Mary the Great, St Edwards, St Bene'ts, St Botolph, St Mary the Less, all in the town of Cambridge. 3. All Saints, St Clements, St Peters, St Giles, all in Cambridge, Coton county Cambridgeshire. 4. All Saints, St Clements, St Giles, all in Cambridge. Chesterton, county Cambridgeshire. Comprising: Plans and sections 6 sheets, each 22" x 29". Book of references [missing]. Printed summary of bill. Scales: Plans and sections: Horizontal 6 chains to 1 inch. Vertical 50 feet to 1 inch.
