DescriptionTitle. Cambridge and Shepreth Junction Railway and branch to join the Eastern Counties Railway. Description. The construction of a railway beginning in Shepreth at the terminus of the Shepreth extension line of the Royston and Hitchin Railway, authorised in 1848, and terminating in Cambridge at a junction with the Eastern Counties railway, near Hills Road Bridge; also a short branch railway leaving parish of Trumpington passing through the parish St. Mary the Les and terminating near Silver Street in the parish of St. Botolph, Cambridge. The scheme promoted by Great Northern Railway. Passing through the following parishes: Shepreth, Foxton, Barrington Haslingfield, Harston, Hauxton, Trumpington, St. Andrew the Less and St. Andrew the Great, both in Cambridge. Branch to join Eastern Railway passing through the parishes of Trumpington and St Andrew the Less, Cambridge. Comprising: Plans and sections (2 copies) 5 sheets, each 22" x 30". Ordnance survey sheet (scale 1inch to 1 mile)Printed summary bill. Printed copy of standing orders of House of Lords as to the deposit of documents...relating to private bills (2 copies). Scales: Plans and sections: Horizontal 6 chains (132 yards) to 1 inch. Vertical 60 feet to 1 inch. Cross section: Horizontal 5 chains (110 yards) to 1 inch. Vertical 40 feet to 1 inch.
