DescriptionTitle. The Eastern Counties (Cambridge to Bedford Railway) Act 1847. Construction of a railway by Eastern Counties Railway from Cambridge to Bedford, with branch lines to Royston and Biggleswade (county Bedfordshire). Passing through the following parishes: Great Shelford, Little Shelford, Hauxton, Harston, Foxton, Shepreth, Meldreth, Whaddon, Bassingbourn, Wendy, Abington Piggotts, Steeple Morden, Guilden Morden, Shingay, Tadlow, (all in county Cambridgeshire). Wrestlingworth, Eyworth, Dunton, Biggleswade, Caldicote in the parish of Northill, Willington, Cople, Cardington, Elstow, parishes of St Johns and St Mary's both in Bedford. Royston Branch: Steeple Morden, Abington Piggotts, Litlington, Bassingbourn, hamlet of Kneesworth, Melbourn (all in county Cambridgeshire). Comprising: Plan and sections 21 sheets, each 19" x 30". Scale. Plan and sections: Horizontal 5 chains (110 yards) to 1 inch. Vertical 50 feet to 1 inch. Cross sections: Horizontal 5 chains (110 yards) to 1 inch. Vertical 40 feet to 1 inch.
