DescriptionTitle. Eastern Counties Railway. Cambridge Royston and Ware Line with a branch to the River Cam also a branch to the Royston and Hitchin Railway. Construction of a railway from Cambridge (Great Shelford), to Ware (county Hertfordshire) with a branch at Royston to join the Royston and Hitchin Railway and a branch in Cambridge to join the River Cam. Passing through the following parishes: Great Shelford, Little Shelford, Hauxton, Harston, Foxton, Shepreth, Melbourn, Kneesworth hamlet in the parish of Bassingbourn, (all county Cambridgeshire). Barkway, Reed, hamlet of Chipping in parish of Buckland, Layston, Throcking, Aspenden, Westmill, Braughing, Standon, Thundridge, Ware, Great Amwell, (all in county Hertfordshire). Branch to River Cam at Cambridge, passing through the parishes of St. Mary the Less, Cambridge, Trumpington, St. Andrew the Less, Cambridge. Comprising: Plans and sections 20 sheets, each 20" x 30". Ordnance survey sheet (scale 1 inch to 1 mile) Scales: Horizontal 5 chins (110 yards) to 1 inch. Vertical 50 feet to 1 inch. Cross section of roads: Horizontal 5 chains (110 yards) to 1 inch.
