Construction of a relief channel running from a point approximately 2 miles South West of King's Lynn following the course of the River Ouse on the east bank southwards to Denver (county Norfolk) from where a cut-off channel veers eastwards along the north bank of the River Wissey, crossing this river at a point 1 mile south of Stoke Ferry and proceeding southwards crossing the Little Ouse River 1 mile south of Hockwold-cum-Wilton (county Norfolk), and continuing southwards through Lakenheath (county Suffolk) and terminating 1/2 mile east of Barton Mills (county Suffolk). Passing through the following parishes: King's Lynn, Wiggenhall, St Mary the Virgin, Wiggenhall St Germans, Watlington, Wigginhall St Mary Magdalen, South Runcton, Stow Bardolph, Wimbotsham, Downham Market urban district, Downham West, Denver, Fordham, Ryston, West Dereham, Wereham, Wretton, Stoke Ferry, Northwold, Methwold, Feltwell, Hockwold-cum-Wilton, Southery, all in Norfolk.
