DescriptionTitle of Act. Great Eastern Railway (General Powers) Act. Description. 1. Construction of a railway line from Benwick to join the line from Ely to Peterborough. 2. Construction of a wharf or quay at the termination of line number 1 in the bank of the River Nene, at Benwick. 3. Diversion of footpaths at Silvertown Station, in the parish of West Ham, and at Chadwell Heath in the parish of Ilford (both county Essex). 4. Additional lands at:- (a). Dovercourt Station in the parish of St Nicholas, Harwich (county Essex). (b). Brightlingsea Station in county Essex. (c). Wood Street Station, in the parish of St Mary, Walthamstow (county Essex). (d). Enfield (county Middlesex). (e). Cambridge Station in the parish of St Andrew the Great, Cambridge. (f). Prickwillow in the parishes of Holy Trinity and St Mary, Ely (county Cambridgeshire). (g). Lowestoft (county Suffolk). 5. Lands already acquired at: (a). Lowestoft (county Suffolk). (b). Chadwell Heath, in the parish of Ilford (county Essex). (c). Felixstowe, the parish of Walton (county Suffolk). (d). Temple Mills in the parish of Leyton (county Essex). (e). Parish of North Repps (county Norfolk). (f) Parish of Stow Bedon (county Norfolk). (g) Finningham in the parish of Bacton (county Suffolk). (h) Thorpe Station in the city of Norwich. (i). Whittlesey (in the county of Cambridgeshire). Passing through the following parishes: 1. Benwick, St Mary and St Andrew in Whittlesey, March, in the parish of Doddington (all in county Cambridgeshire). Comprising. Plans and sections. 8 sheets, each 22" x 30". Ordnance survey sheet.
