TitleHuntingdon High Street, showing the George Hotel.
DescriptionA similar view to DC98, but this image would appear to be slightly earlier. The Boer War memorial , unveiled in 1903, can be seen on the left of the image. Part of the shop front of 103 High Street can be seen on the right (possibly then Peacock's saddlery business, taken over by WH Clayton in 1910), then the shop of W Budds, watchmaker at 102 High Street, and the business of Luther Rous Dalgleish, chemist at 101 High Street. The sign for the Royal Oak can be seen in the distance, just beyond the George Hotel. Note the montage of Maddison & Hinde photographs in one of the George Hotel's windows
