TitleJames Radley and Will Moorhouse in front of their Bleriot monoplane on Portholme meadow
DescriptionThe Hunts Post of 1910 regularly reported on the flying exploits of Mr James Radley and his colleagues on Portholme Meadow. On the 9th April 1910 it carried a report on Huntingdon Aeroplanes: "Mr James Radley, whose arrival with his Bleriot monoplane we announced last week, up to the present had not attempted to make a trial flight. The machine, the lines of which very much resemble a huge dragon fly, was put together on Friday morning and wheeled on to Portholme for the purpose of being photographed." This is an identical image to WH3/2391B. See also WH3/2391A, C & D, which were all presumably taken by Frederick Hinde on that day. Ernest Whitney has identified Will Moorhouse as standing by the plane, and James Radley sitting in the cockpit in this DC image, which has been slightly damaged by blue ink
