A plate with "Manning Wardle & Co Leeds 1877 No. 634" is attached to the engine. Manning Wardle was a steam locomotive manufacturer based in Hunslett, Leeds, and operated from 1858-1926. They concentrated on building specialised locomotives for contractor’s use, building up a range of locomotives suitable for all types of contracting work. The location of this engine is unidentified |
