Description | Arthur Maddison was employed to take photographs of prisoners in Huntingdon Gaol, and this is the image of a Louisa Dickerson, who was convicted at the Huntingdonshire Quarter Sessions on the 1st January 1877 for stealing a watch valued at £3. She was aged 19, 4' 11" in height, had dark brown hair and grey eyes, had been born in the parish of Stilton and was employed as a servant. She had been apprehended in Stilton, and was sentence to 4 calendar months hard labour. She had one previous conviction for stealing four books and a gold pencil case at Wisbeach in 1876, for which she received 14 days in prison.
