DescriptionSt. Silvester's Church was built as a chapel of ease to serve the district of Gamlingay Heath, which by 1886 had a population of nearly 300, more than 2 miles away from the parish church. The iron church, built at Woodbury Corner in 1879, was replaced by a brick church designed by J.P. St. Aubyn to seat 108 persons. It was dedicated on 28 July 1886, but was an unconsecrated building. Reports on the church occur in the vestry audit book (P76/8/1).
