DescriptionP76/12/1-58 A series largely consisting of thin books with brown paper covers kept by each overseer (often named) for his period of office, usually six months. Weekly relief payments to each pauper and the extraordinary disbursements are shown per month. A balance is drawn against summary receipts and the accounts are usually audited and the balance handed over at Easter. (For accounts of 1749 see P76/11/2). See also P76/19/1-4 for overseers statements of accounts within the Union series (1870 - 1871)
