TitleWRAY'S CHARITY. Probate and Copy of Will (dated 8 December 1602) of William Hull, Butcher of Cambridge
DescriptionMakes his wife Elizabeth executrix and gives her his chattels and cash together with the lease of three tenements in All Saints Parish, Cambridge, for her life and one of the two not in his occupation for the unexpired term unless she marries in which case they are to go to his son Christopher in return for an annuity of £5.13s.4d. Christopher to go into partnership as a butcher with his mother (if she does not marry). If she does not continue in that trade he is to pay her an annuity of £6. After his wife's death the lease of the other of the two tenements (the third being Hull's dwelling) to go to his son John. His son Matthew is to receive £10 to be paid half by Elizabeth and half by John within one year of Elizabeth's death. Son Richard is to receive 40s. to be paid by Christopher within one year after Elizabeth's death. Daughter Mild(red) (amount illegible) to be paid by Christopher within two years after Elizabeth's death. Son James is to have £5 to be paid by Christopher within one year after Elizabeth's death. Witnesses Aylyt Carr, John Saunder, Robert Ridydale, Peter Bell.
