TitleTown Lands Charity. Accounts of the 'fen treasurer' of the Town Lands
DescriptionConsists of rentals of the town land, given at three or four yearly intervals, payments for fen taxes, charges of constable, overseers of highways and of poor, militia tax, repairs to town property such as the town house and field gates, etc. On front flyleaf: note of great ice flood, 11 February 1795; note of length of ditch and mill drain, 1793. Audit of accounts, following a charity commission order of 1729 took place on 24 June each year.
