TitleCopy of a warrant issued by Charles 1 ordering the revival of the English Drum March in His Majesty's regiments
DescriptionWith musical notation. The original warrant was issued on 7 February 1631/2 and signed by Thomas Howard Earl of Arundel and Surrey, Earl Marshall. This copy is emblazoned with the arms of the Earl of Manchester in the margin and was made and subscribed by Edward Norgate, Windsor Herald (1633-1650). It is thought likely that it was copied between 1633 and 1642 when the Earl was Lord Treasurer.
