TitleIndenture of land in Stoke by Clare [Suffolk]
DescriptionOne part of a chirograph between:
(i) Thomas Brewster otherwise called Thomas Alby the elder of Stoke next Clare [Suffolk], husbandman
(ii) George Danyels of London, gentleman

Thomas sold to George for £12 all lands etc which he (Thomas) or any other person had to his use in the town and fields of Stoke and also all documents pertaining to them.
Thomas fully content re. payment of £12; George and heirs discharged forever.
Nevertheless, George, for love and the favour he has to Thomas, commits himself and heirs that if Thomas pay or cause to be paid to George, heirs, executors etc. £12 [viz £4 Michaelmas next, £4 Michaelmas next following, £4 Michaelmas next next following], then Thomas and heirs can have lands back forever. If Thomas defaults in any payments, then lands go to George forever.
