DescriptionWith advice on a dispute with a tenant: "the doctor has bought nothing for your donatives are held by lease & not by presentation..." Also referring to an attached newspaper advert for the sale of a freehold estate at Graham belonging to a Mr Rolt of Potton [Beds]. According to Cust's information, Sir John Bernard (who "has always been against you") verbally agreed to buy it but pulled out, enraging Rolt. Recommends the Duke buy the estate to gain an introduction in Grafham, where there are many freeholders.
