TitleLetter to Thomas Willett, at Sir John Bernard's house at Brampton, from Richard Humphries, St James
DescriptionRichard Candlin has sent him a certificate and he has had a letter from the Vicar of Greatness [Shropshire] confirming it. It seems Candlin told his mother and brother of the death of his aunt and what she had left him but while he was preparing for the journey his brother rode to Brampton thinking to recieve the money, only to be disappointed. Sir John Bernard told him that he had never heard of a nephew and would require a discharge from all three brothers. Humphries thinks the other two brothers will not sign unless they have part of the money but seeks direction from Bernard.
