Title | Letter to Millicent Sparrow from her uncle, Lord William Bentinck |
Description | A change of ministry seems imminent. King has sent for Lord Grenville for advice but he will not return to office because of his health. Canning may have refused to sanction further hostile measures against the Queen. The King came unexpectedly to London yesterday. All his actions are secret and mysterious like 'the tyrant who hears in every breath the foot of the assassin.' He is said to be in good health but very agitated. He [Bentinck] can now walk easily thanks to electricity. |
