| Title | Letter to Millicent, Lady Mandeville, from her husband, Lord Mandeville, Tandragee [Co. Armagh] |
| Description | Addressed to Millicent in Nice [France]. Hunt came hime from Assizes on Saturday evening, not yet conversed with him about the estate. Ordnance survey map of County Armagh has bene published, site of the estate has increased. Got out of Lyles trial better tham initially given to understand. Cannot find Clovis Calendania (?) anywhere but has several books on Hymms. Dear White has been with him this morning. Presided over a missionary meeting at the new Schoolhouse at Mullahead, similar meeting tomorrow at Tullyhappy. Noted that the day she left for Villa-Franca, he arrived at Tandragee with painful sense of separation and loneliness. Hargrove and Darby think Saints will be caught up before the restoration of the Jews. Delight to return with La Croix, does not like to part with Rudolph(?). Advises it would be good to ween daughter Olivia from sleeping with her and get her a Governess. Lady Roden asked whether La Croix went to chapel now as he did when she was there. Arranged with Athenaeum to send letters on to him at Tandragee. Warns her to not take part in McLaughlin quarrel. Mrs Pattern is dying. Library has damp on the walls so he has to move the books to the centre of the room. Ends with a hymn.. |
