DescriptionOn behalf of the Duke's son, Lord Frederick, who is too ill to write himself. Thanks the Duke for the letters and promise of £800 to pay his debts in Sydney and "stock a run" for him in New Zealand. Mr Cookson refuses to release money to pay off the debts, leaving Lord Frederick short of money and exposed to the demands of his creditors. Gibbes believes that £200 would pay them off and restore Frederick to health.
