Title | Letter from Lady Olivia Bernard Sparrow to her grandson, Lord Kimbolton, at Sandhurst |
Description | Encloses a letter from his mother [Not included with this letter]. His mother's letter to OBS shows worry at their little adventures in Bagshot, in that he has prevailed upon her to go out with him in the rain, described as a "pelting shower", but explained to his mother that he's probably been more wet before and OBS was more wet than him. Mentions his stomach illness, warns him to be cautious as he's growing rapidly. Doctor speaks well of him and says Lord Kimbolton "gives no trouble and gets into no scrapes". Has faint hope of seeing him before she leaves town, depending on whether she will be able to go to Highfield and whether he's be allowed to come. |
