| Title | Letter from Viscountess Mandeville, to Lord Kimbolton, Sandhurst |
| Description | Letter is damaged and faded in places, some conversation work has been undertaken but elements of the letter are gone. Hardly had time to write. Henry(?) stayed last saturday and returned to Dublin with Mr.Daly. Had a Bible Society Meeting in the Infant School before leaving, could not attend due to a cold. Daly gave a good beautiful speech with humour about poor Baptists that made the room laugh. Describes him as "the same gay amusing happy being as eve". After arriving in Dublin, Daly was told his sister [possibly Henrietta] had been thrown from a pony carriage and killed. Hopes he can enlist as a Solider soon. Will be spending the Sunday at Liverpool and reach Brampton on Monday. O [Olivia] will be in woe at [?] leaving. Hears the Duke will reach England about the 8th after leaving Naples. Mentions Mr.Lovett's salar has increased. Dr.Patterson has lost his son John. |
