Title | Letter from Lady Olivia Bernard Sparrow to her grandson, Lord Kimbolton |
Description | Glad to receive his letter and hear he likes his present residence, would like to hear about how he is occupying himself and what he is reading. Warns to be careful about spelling and spending too much time on other languages. Her sister [Lady Mary Bentinck] has written and enquired to him if there were any embargo's on him visiting London to which he replied no. Lady Olivia states this must be a mistake as his mother told him to go nowhere in London, not even Lady to Tweeddale. Family have departed from Paris. Hopes if any money was offered he did not receive it as he's too old for it, but can ask his mother, father or herself and they will suppy it "but no one else". Anxiously awaiting to hear from their friends and hope they have gone onto Nice. |
