TitleLetter from Mary. R. Williams, Newark [Nottinghamshire], to the Duke of Manchester
DescriptionSeeking financial aid for an American missionary friend in Jerusalem.
Has no apology for presenting the unostentatious appeal, except for having heard the Duke 20 years ago in Exeter Hall give a public testimony of his love to those whose efforts honour our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Her friend is a devoted American Christian born in Jerusalem, has heard she is now travelling with Christian labourers to Meshullam's farm in Artas. Jews are desiring employment at the farm where they can have sustenance for physical support and, at the same time, accept the teachings of Christ. Meshullam needs funding to pay the Jewish labourers, Williams appeals to the Duke to bring the cause to the attention of other Christians.
