DescriptionCorrespondence on the various books wanted by the Duke .
Had just transmitted to your Grace the last livraison (delivery) of Vendidad Sade to the Atheneaum Club in London when he received his Grace's letter of the 23rd of February. Visited the Public Library of the Institute and the Royal Library but neither had copies of Francois Halma's publications. Sorry for the defect the Duke has found in 'Commentarie de Theon' as all parts of the book are scarce and not found a copy in the Libraries there but will try to find a copy or have the two or three pages printed. Has succeeded in getting a copy of 'Tables Paschal' to complete your Grace's copy. Had also managed to procure the two parts of the 14th volume of 'Notices Et Extraits De Manuscrits De La Bibliotheque Du Roi'. Includes an account of the costs of the books. The sale of the remaining posessions of the Library of the Baron Silvestre de Sacy will not take place until October and so expect to have a cataulogue which will be forwarded to the Duke.
