TitleLetter from Lady Olivia Bernard Sparrow, Champs-Élysées [France] to her daughter, Millicent Viscountess Mandeville
DescriptionOn the arrival of Mandeville yesterday, they had a conversation with him on a subject on which she has prayed about. Current circumstances cannot continue without doing what she can to remove "what is not more injurious to private comfort". He has most probably communicated this to Millicent. End the letter by saying they should look to the future and consider each other in respective positions.
Signed "your affectionate mother OBS".

Note along the top of the letter: "This letter was written after a conversation I had prepared to have with L.M to whom I had written a letter to meet him at Nice where he had gone to see his father before going to Ireland. He left Milton at Florence. The note mentioned at the end he signed and I sent to her. The copy is at the end of the letter."
