DescriptionHad been hopeful that a friend would relieve his mind "from the greatest.anxiety and produced cheerful comfort to my little home" and enable him to repay his little debt, but he has been dissapointed. Unable to obtain a better appointment that would enable him to save a portion of his income in time to pay the debt. Honourable acknowledges his inability to pay and doesn't want the Duke to think he's being neglectful and ungrateful. Asks the Duke to permit him to pay an interest on the loan until he can raise the money and give a guarentee of repayment.
