Title | Letter from from William Tait of Wakefield [Yorks] to the Duke of Manchester |
Description | Received letter of the 16th and obliged to his Grace's kindness. Follows by discussion of a religious nature. Considerable light in what the Duke says about the three conditions of nearness to God in the Kingdom. Most holiest of all is the hearings to be enjoyed at the redeemed church, preaching from HebrewsVI.19.20. Comparity of Revelations IV.1.4 Sabbath creation must have been kept on Earth and in Eden, their being no division of days in heaven, a beautiful analogy for in the Sabbath of Redemption being kept on Earth and in Canaan. Hopes in a few days to be in possesion of the work which the Duke mentioned "things hoped for" (possibly referring to 'now faith is the substance of things hoped for' Hebrews 11:1).Honoured by his Graces offer of hospitality, seldom goes from home, but if he is ever in Ireland or London he shall gadly await himself the oppourtunity of making his acquaintance.
