TitleLetter from Rev. Edwards to James Torkington, claiming that the glebe land in Gt. Stukeley is exempt from payment of tithes within that parish, having been exchanged by Edward Montagu for glebe lands in Huntingdon.
DescriptionHe therefore requests an alteration of the Inclosure Bill to the effect that the impropriator is seised of the land but not entitled to tithes. An endorsement states: In this letter can be diciphered the location of the land exchanged for the present glebe lands in St. Peter's Hill - namely a part of the present Hinchingbrook Park.
