Title | Letter; A.J. Lawrence, Canterbury, to 7th Earl of Sandwich. |
Description | Bugler Lawson is well inclined to join the Militia, but he requires 1/6d per day instead of 1/- offered. There has been an application from the S. Hants Militia for a Bugler, with an offer of 25/- additional as Bounty. Writes to see whether the Hunts. Militia will increase the offer of 1/- per day, for believes that Lawson will not go for the shilling. Lawson is a good horn and bugle player, and is a very well conducted man. Is glad to hear that the 2 Buglers were satisfactory. |
