Description | The General Order relative to the new Army organization has finally been approved. The Hunts. Militia will remain at its present H.Q. at Huntingdon, and will continue to be a Rifle Regiment. It will appear in the Army List as the 5th Battalion of the 60th King's Royal Rifle Corps (Huntingdon Militia) As far as possible the permanent staff will be furnished from the 60th and for administrative purposes the Regiment will be included in the Bedford subdistrict. Hopes that these arrangements meet the Earl's wishes. |
