Title | Letter; James Scott, Leeds, co. York, to 4th Earl of Sandwich. |
Description | Describes the Meeting at York which proved a farce. It had been agreed the night before by the principle persons in Lord Rockingham's Interest that there should not be any Remonstrance, but an Address of Thanks to the two County members, Sir Geoge Savile and Mr. Lascelles. The affair was much to the dissatisfaction of the extreme Republicans and Partymen. |
